Dear Cigar Pass Friends,
A short Halloween play to be performed in all good Cigar Clubs.
The setting - a smokey back room somewhere in a distant land (the 'distant land' is merely for dramatic effect and an excuse to be elsewhere for a brief instant, while the kids go trick or treating, suspicion of disbelief). A table is positioned in the center of the room (clearly representing an island), upon which are stacked three boxes, a small guillotine and a burning torch (a shoe is optional). The audience (cigar club Members) gather round table ('island') and are encouraged to chant ' Puros, Puros, Puros for us'. Loud cackle is heard from behind the bar. Three wenches emerge mumbling some form of ancient spell (hoily, doily, spoil, etc, etc) -
Act I
First Witch - When shall we three meet again to draw and live the puros? In thunder, lightning, or in rain ? (loud cackle)
Second Witch - When the battle's lost and won. Great deals, he's gone and done, to try them each and every one -
