Pretty close… I remember giving you a few cigars you must have bombed him with that had “Cigarstone” written on the generic white bands he put on them. Then I remember giving you that box of No. 4’s that came from his collection. I know how much you and I both loved the OR La Riqueza cigars. I don’t know why Pete let that brand go on the wayside like he did. From what he told me, he paid a lot of money to purchase the name. He told me the name translated to “The Riches”.It's going to be a great day! Whether it wants to or not!
For me, behind every great cigar there is a great story! It may be what made the cigar great before you smoked it, or it may be what happened as you smoked it.
I hope I am remembering this correctly, I'm sure John will correct me if not (although his memory is slipping..... clip/gun ... blah blah blah)
As many know, @jfields obtained some of Brian's (infinity) cigars. One night sitting by a fire at John's he brought out a partial box of La Riqueza #4's and said he got them from Brian's wife after Brian passed and that they said "Cigarstone" on them. He wasn't sure if I had sent them to Brian or if Brian had earmarked them for me because he knew they were my favorite cigar. Either way, it tugged at my heart. John gave me the remainder of the box.
A side note to the story which makes it even sweeter ...... A year earlier, I attended a cigar function with a friend who was hosting the event, Pete Johnson was the guest of honor and I had the privileged of sitting next to Pete. After dinner, Pete asked me to describe my perfect cigar, I described what I like in size, strength, profile, etc. Pete excused himself and came back with a five pack of La Riqueza #4 and proceeded to tell me exactly how this cigar would progress from powerful in the first half inch to mellow and flavorful with a final third that would be amazing. This is how the #4 became my favorite.
In addition to all of that, the corked and caged bottle you see came from another great brother @cabaiguan juan Jon knows how much I love Hardywood, and @EmergenCigar Brett gifted me with this bottle of Blantons last weekend.
The picture of the American flag tops it off. Despite the fact that it is growing harder every day to be proud of America, I will still fight someone twice my size who insults us or our country!

It was my understanding he was sued by the New Orleans Saints?Pretty close… I remember giving you a few cigars you must have bombed him with that had “Cigarstone” written on the generic white bands he put on them. Hayden, did you smoke all of those today and drink that whiskey?
Altadis did. Which I found ironic considering they ripped off several Cuban brands including Montecristo. It has the Fluer-De-Lis on the bands and was what the lawsuit was over.
That is the first cigar that I fell in love with. Smoked one and had to buy a box. I am down to my last two . I might waste the day at work tomorrow trying to find some more now.Ohana? What is this?
I'll have to research it more today, myself. Is there a Hawaiian connection to it, or did they just use the word? That is the first cigar that I fell in love with. Smoked one and had to buy a box. I am down to my last two . I might waste the day at work tomorrow trying to find some more now.
Indeed. The v herf went for nearly five hours last night.Hayden, did you smoke all of those today and drink that whiskey?
Damn Hayden, it must really be toasty in the hobo hut! But they are talking 40 degree weather next weekend…will feel like summer!Indeed. The v herf went for nearly five hours last night.
The greatest invention that @H. Vachon ever had even though he was still unmercifully made fun of UNTIL … people started copying him and the trend was born. Now the HH Community (Lifestyle perhaps?) has expanded to 3+ states with more on the way.Okay @H. Vachon Hayden, tell me, what exactly is the hobo hut?
Man you guys are die hard! I miss having my dedicated indoor smoking area. It was like 5° with the wind chill last night. I wasn’t even going to try.
If that’s the case. The NO Saints owe my family and ancestors some money
It’s not bad now that I have a system lol. I have a small air purifier that moves air around, as well as a small fan that I mounted to one of the windows that pulls smoke out. It works pretty well. Certainly not perfect, but it’s infinitely better than smoking outside.Man you guys are die hard! I miss having my dedicated indoor smoking area. It was like 5° with the wind chill last night. How is the hut with ventilation Hayden? Breathing in second hand cigar smoke ruins it for me…
I was wondering. So between your heater and ventilation, it’s still warm enough in Michigan weather to wear a t shirt? It’s not bad now that I have a system lol. That tells me I want one but I still don't know what it is?The greatest invention that @H. @H. Vachon this could be the next RealTree or Salt Life if you can get ahead of this quick enough.
@H. Vachon you gotta let me your business partner now. I’m locking in customers left and right. That tells me I want one but I still don't know what it is?
I am working on a design of an outdoor fireplace which can be put up and taken down simply. Then I need to come up with an enclosure which will sit up close to it so I can get the hell out of my house and smoke a more powerful cigar than I am willing to smoke in my man cave.
Well, the T shirt started as more of a “fuck you” to all the people who made fun of me for having to smoking outside lol. But honestly it’s been plenty comfortable. I run a infrared heater under the table for my feet and legs and I run the propane heater for a few minutes at a time as needed.I was wondering. It’s an ice fishing shanty lol. That tells me I want one but I still don't know what it is?
