Well I spoke out of turn ... ours was a 50 CAB dated- OSU AUG01. Probably not as sweet as those '98's.

Been trying to let these age a bit, but the wrapper damage provided sufficient justification this Friday afternoon.

Gifted from a Ct friend. First inch wasn’t nice but it did smooth out nicely. I like the idea of a box press tubo for travel but for $3 less the maduro corona is still the way I’m swaying.

Those are a great cigars, had the robusto, diademas finas and the big honker diadema. Did not disappoint!

My box of Secretos weren't quite as old as yours, but it's amazing what a few years do for those Maduro 5s. They were pretty much so tight they were un-smokeable when fresh. I found they opened up and smoothed out quite nicely after resting for a while. They were a gift from my wife when we lived in Germany, but if I knew then what I know now I would have went and bought a few more boxes of them at that time.
