Can any of you Chi Town area BOTLs recommend a good tobacconist near Crystal Lake. I have a friend who has a sister living there who wants to try smoking cigars. She thinks she would like to try something mild and sweet. I would just send her a few sticks but have very little in my humis that are mild and nothing that is both mild and sweet. Any recommendations for a good tobacconist would be appreciated and/or ideas for mild + sweet sticks.

PM GGIESE.. I think he is up in the northern part of IL.
And knows several B&M's.

Only ones I know of are farther south from crystal lake.

Crystal Lake is a tad distance further west from me. But, if he's in the Libertyville area (about 1/2 hr drive) there's a great B&M on Milwaukee Ave at Route 176 - Cigars and More (www.cigarsandmore.com). This place if very homey - nice bunch of guys there.

Also, in Deerfield (at tad further south) there's a nice place called Churchill n' Downs. Great selection of Padron Anniversary and '26's). They may want to check them out. Small seating area and pleasant owners.

The big one around here is Cigar King in Skokie, IL. HUGE humidor (and I mean HUGE) with a very nice HUGE lounge area. Very relaxing place to visit.

Wish I had more near Crystal Lake - I've not heard of anything in McHenry or that area...

Just stay away from the camp and anyone wearing hockey masks...
