Here's the official Toast Across American info; check with your local Fuente dealer to see if they are participating (many are). The cigars are very cool, both are Perfectos the size and shape of a Hemingway Classic (7" x 48); like last year, there is one Opus X and one DC Maximus. Here's a spoiler pic, don't look at it if you want to be surprised:

The cigar packs are $50 for two cigars; the proceeds go to the CFCF charity, and many dealers across America are participating, not just the official one in NYC.

Cigar Family Charitable Foundation

Fact Sheet

In 2001, the Fuente and Newman families established the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation. The concept of the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation was developed by Carlos Fuente Jr. who was inspired by both the tremendous humanitarian needs of the Dominican people as well as the incredible generosity of CigarFamily.com members. Since the website’s inception CigarFamily.com members have raised thousands of dollars through special events and online cigar auctions for a variety of charities.

In 2002, Cigar Family Charitable Foundation purchased 23 acres of land to develop the very first Cigar Family Community Complex in and around the area of Caribe. This complex will include a new school, medical facility, adult training center, youth recreational facility, and more. The children’s many needs have inspired the development of this Cigar Family Community Complex.

This complex would not be possible without the support and guidance of the Instituto Dominicano de Desarrollo Integral, Inc. (IDDI), our partners on this project in the Dominican Republic. Created in 1984, IDDI is one of the principal community development organizations in the Dominican Republic. They often collaborate with various entities of the Dominican Government, as well as national and international corporations.

Additionally, 100% of every dollar contributed goes directly to charitable purposes. All administrative, legal, accounting, office, website and marketing costs are totally underwritten by the Fuente and Newman families.

In accordance with I.R.S. guidelines, donations are fully tax deductible to the extent provided by the law. The Cigar Family Charitable Foundation is a 501 ©(3) charitable tax-exempt organization.

Mokster,

I'm in SoCal, how do I get a shot at the 2 pack (DCM & Opus X)?

Post up how someone away from the Eastern Seaboard can get in on this thing. $50 seems like a worthy donation for the two sticks..........and the cause sounds good to me.

Really sucks that they cut down the retailers this year. If I want to go I have to go to the dinner. No retailers in manhattan.

I'm betting that you will really enjoy the dinner...

Don't sweat it, how good can a bundled cigar be? :p

I'm sure I would enjoy dinner too, but I'd like to find some people to go with.

You wish is my command -- it looks like miraculously, Polly wants to go to the event in NYC on her birthday (I'm guessing shopping in NYC the next day may have something to do with it). So I'll be there at least, other1, if you care to join us. Should be a fun night.

Wow, I take back all those horrible things I said about you! :0

Did you get tickets yet? I'll call tomorrow..
