I have just recently purchased a small cabinet humi

I am thinking of getting the Cigar Oasis XL Plus wondering if anybody has any experience with them and if you think it would be a good fit for this humi thanks guys :D

I have one and it works okay. Be careful with the unit’s internal RH% reading, they can often by way off. Before filling your unit with smokes, you should make certain that you are not over or under humidifying your humi because you are basing everything on the Cigar Oasis’s reading. Also, look around on the forums and you will find where others have removed the foam and replaced it with beads.

The CO XL is a time proven unit, it works very well. The Hydra is worth looking at as well as it has ports for up to 3 fans that can be placed around the humidor for improved air flow. This is a nice feature, although the Hydra has not been around as long. I have read a number of reviews where the hydra faired better. If you do end up going with the CO, I would get 1 or 2 Oust fans to help move the air around.

Yes i have heard that also. My humi is about 3 weeks old pretty well seasoned right now i have 2 digi hydrometers so i will go by them. I also was told about the Oust fan i will get one. With the measurements i posted with the picture should i go with the XL or the XL Plus? Thanks for the info :)

I will take that advice and get a Oust fan any good places that you know where i can order one thanks for the help :)

Hydra wins hands down, IMO. You can calibrate the hygrometer! Also set up for extra fans that only come on when the main one does.

I will look into the Hydra from what i understand the extra fans can be hard to setup :)

Can we see a picture of that unit in your home taken with your own camera? :D

I do not own a digital camera but it is high on my priority list as i have seen some great shot in my short time here.

The extra fans are not hard to setup at all. The extra fan kit comes with one fan and a splitter to add a second and then a third can be added to the other port. The simply plug into the main Hydra unit and turn on and off as the unit does. You can see the fan port in the first link and the second and third link are the fan kit and extra fan.

Oh, and you can usually find Oust fans on ebay.

I sell both of them and the Hydra selles out for me (compared to the oasis). If I have any in stock they will be at www.cigar-solutions.com. For functionality and ease of maintenace I like the Hydra. Also there is a new Hydra LG I dont have it in stock yet, its a larger version of the original Hydra and comes with two fans already. I should have it by tommorow. anyway check us out at www.cigar-solutions.com.

I checked out the site did not see any of the Hydra you must be out. I will look for the LG I tomorrow if i can do the fan placement without having to use screws then that is the way I will go.

I ordered one of these with Cigar International joe's daily special and got free shipping on my whole order, it's identical to the hydra , CI said extra fans will be in next week sometime. I havent used it yet as my humi isn't finished yet. check it out. Just checked they are made by the same manufacturer, so fan ports are the same ect....
