I have decided that I want to cool my humidor. It was damaged in shipping and I have to replace the rear panel. Since I will have the back off I decided it would be a good time to install a cooling unit. After researching TE coolers I have decided to go with the company listed below and most likely the 73 watt unit. I already have a custom humidifer unit from Avallo and controller housing for it being made by Petroglyph Designs.

Heres what I need and info you might need to help me.
I will be cooling about 22 cubic feet.
My home rarely will be more than 5-10 degrees hotter than I want the unit to cool to. I didnt think I needed to cool at all but with the nice weather now and not turning the AC on yet I am seeing temps in the 75 degree range, I would like to keep in at 65-66.
With the TE units why do you need to by one of there control units? Isnt a thermostat just a tempature controlled switch. Why couldnt I just use a nice thermostat from the hardware.
Has anyone else done this? Any advice?
thanks
