hello everyone,
this week's LATE edition brings us to the hemmingway classic cigar and all i can really say is:
WOW, this is one fine cigar!
the classic is a 7 x 48 (churchill-size) cigar though it is truly a figaduro due to it's tapered tip and not a parejo. it sports a cameroon wrapper with dominican filler and binder.
the pre-light toast and light-up were easy due to the aforementioned tip. wrapper and construction were flawless throughout the one-hour smoke. the draw and burn were just right. the body can definitely be described as medium and slightly complex with notes of sweetness and spice. it was balanced the entire time and never harsh. i had to let this one go when the fire got to close to my mouth meaning that it never became bitter and i was able to enjoy the entire cigar.
to sum this one up:
definitely a MUST TRY!
this is another cigar that i have added to my list of fivers to buy when my singles are finished. the cohiba churchill is, thus far, the only other cigar on that list. i will be reviewing it is a month or so.
i haven't yet decided what next week's smoke will be though i am leaning towards the avo classic or CAO cameroon.
thanks,
mike
