Well after much research I decided to take the plunge and purchase a wine fridge to convert for my current stash of stogies. With the weather being so hot and fear of the pesky beetle. I went with the Danby 16 bottle Maitre D from Walmart. I picked it up last week and have been prepping it for the past couple of days. I went ahead and purchased 1lb of heartfelt beads at 65%RH. I also modified the the drain by plugging it up. I also used some Gorilla tape to cover the drain so that any condensation can get re-routed back in to the dish with the beads. So far it has worked out great. My temp is where it should be and the RH is at 70%. I also purchased two small computer fans, but I don't think I need them just yet. I need to purchase or make some cedar shelving, but until then, I am going to keep my humi in there for the time being. Here are some pics:
