Yesterday I smoked a Cuban Cohiba Siglo III. I brought this one back with me from my trip to Toronto. Its been sitting in my humidor for a little over a month, I've been wanting to smoke it but if I smoked it I wouldn't have any Cubans! Well cigars were meant to be smoked and the time was right. It was the first day of my six day vacation from work and I wanted to start it off right. Man, there is nothing like a good Cuban, they have the best wrappers, great oils, perfect color, no nc's that I've seen look anything like them. This cigar was heaven! It's burn was less than ideal but I didn't even care. I hope the other countries learn to duplicate the Cuban flavor soon.
Today I went to the local cigar shop to buy some somewhat cheap smokes. While I was paying I told the guy I always wanted to smoke an Anejo but they are hard to find. He kind of gave me a smirk and said he had a couple of boxes in the back. Well, there went my budget. So I bought a #46, it cost $10. I don't know what the MSRP is but it was worth the money. As soon as I got home I lit it up. It was a very nice looking cigar, very firm. I loved the taste right away. At first I thought it was a bit mono-dimensional, but man, what a great dimension! After an inch or so the spice started really kicking in. Its a very spicy cigar and has great flavors, best $10 cigar ever! I was down right giddy with this one. For all of you fellow noobs out there who haven't tried one yet, put it on the top of your list.
I've got to stop spending so much money on cigars!
