Quick question I was not able to find the answer for: I have the 70% Heartfelt bead tray (plastic). Is it possible to swap the beads out inside? I didn't want to pry it open and ultimately break it. Sorry if this has been posted before, I wasn't able to find anyone with the same question.

Thanks!

Do you mean the square holder with the mesh or the cylinders?

Why do you want to remove them?

You know he sells loose beads as well.

Yes, the square plastic holder. It's full of 70% beads, and I want to swap them for 65% beads. I don't have room for a mesh bag in the humi. I tried sliding the two plastic pieces apart to no avail. Are they meant to be able to be opened?

I had an aluminum one I did this with. But that one had two small plastic "push pins" as best I can describe them that were used to hold the two pieces together. They were on each side of the tray, maybe yours has the same thing but since it is all plastic its hard to see?

Do you have one of the cheap plastic foam humidifiers that come with most humidors? I just put the sack o' beads in there instead of the foam...

If no definite answers about your OP, just PM Viper.

I tossed out the tray with the floral foam, bad move by me. I'm going to see if there are those tabs TPC mentioned. Thanks for your input everyone.

If I can't open it, I guess I'll just keep it at 70% for now and use a drybox for ones I would like to smoke soon. I heard that 70% is ideal for aging cigars, is that true?

I think rh for aging comes down to personal preference, but I know that Hunters and Frankau (who store their clients cigars for long term aging) keeps there cigars below 65rh.

Thanks, I think I'll try to switch to the 65% beads. It's too bad that I have an extra 1/2 pound of 70% here.
