Dear Friends,
I am really grateful for the very warm welcome on the part of some participants here!
Moreover, I am under the impression that all these things were duly clarified long time ago! Fellow participants are being invited to review the whole story at www.InternationalCigarClub.com.
Just for the sake of the business, out of respect to the people coming to this BB and in order to set the record straight one more time, am giving out the facts:
1. All 4 customers were duly refunded on the spot and you may be free to make appropriate and due inquiries to them (without any interference from us) of whether they've got their funds back or not! Actually some of them went upfront to defend us on this, after seeing all this smearing campaign that some participants are involved!
2. All 4 cigar boxes were returned to the shipper (www.CigarQuality.com) intact and without anyone from the 4 consignees keeping any stick in order to verify their authenticity or not - despite the fact they've obtained our permission from the beginning to do so.
3. We really cannot count how many times we have said that those Sublimes were NOT PART OF OUR STOCK. They have been dropshipped on our behalf by the people of www.CigarQuality.com (of Madrid, Spain - namely by Mr. Fernando Olezabad) WITHOUT seeing them.
4. Our www.CubanCigarMegaStore.com has NOTHING to do with the www.Cigars-of-the-Americas.com. The former is directly associated to the Phoenicia Fereos Group of Cyprus/Greece (the exclusive Habanos representative/distributor since early '60s). The latter is partly owned by me (being a minority shareholder of record) and we were doing buiness with Mr. Olezabad and his Madrid outfit for the last 2-3 years - without any problem whatsoever and no questions ever raised.
4. Those Sublimes were offered for less than EUROS 500.00 per box to the people at ICC. Excluding the actual cost we were talking about EUROS 500.00 of TOTAL PROFIT for us. Do you think that we were actually going to make a fortune by selling 4 fake boxes - especially after the publicity this matter got as soon as it became known that there were Sublimes for sale at ridiculously low prices??
5. Do you think that it would be appropriate also, since you want to protect the interests of fellows (and instead of making all those silly and childish questions of whether "other Sublimes" are available too) to make appropriate inquiries also within the entire cigar "community" of how many people have received from us cigars of impeccable quality??
6. As per your question of what corrective measures were taken in order to prevent it won't happen again our answer is that we duplicated what the famous Geneva purveyor Gerard & Cie did when they were found possessing fakes. Simply we severed our ties with our supplier.
7. May also remind you that the moment we've received questions from the first consignee that perhaps what he has received might be a fake WE WENT IMMEDIATELY OUT TO THE IIC's BB in order to notify that perhaps there were questions about the authenticity of those cigars and the whole matter was already under due investigation and everybody involved should be refunded on the spot!
As a last thought and being witness all these months of the effort of a number of participants to discredit my company and me personally for reasons unknown (going far beyond the protection of other participants) I'm just wondering what exactly are their motives behind this effort? Perhaps the fact that they are in the same business and by discrediting me and my company they should be able to increase their turnover in those challenging times for all, or what else actually?
Another point also that has to be addressed too: Since I am in a real business and am working hard 365 days a year to being of service I really don't have the time to being on top of a keyboard all the time trying to explain things for the rest of my life (that were already adequately explained), because I'm having more important things to do! Because I'm living a real life with real people (my family, my friends, my customers, suppliers etc) so I'm really not interested at all to going on with further questions, answers, comments etc!
With due respect for all CP participants

PS. As you see I don't have any problem revealing my real name instead of still using an alias!
