It's a nice Saturday morning, 20 celcius outside and sunny with no wind when I decided to fire up a Tatuaje #5 ( 4 x 40 ) gifted to me by Greg ( kingantz ).
Construction was perfect with a dark rich oily wrapper with no visible veins, it was silky and firm to the touch .
After cutting the triple cap ( a nice touch) the prelight draw was easy but not to loose, I torched the foot took a puff then let it sit for a minute to warm up in the sun.
The aroma wafting up from this little beauty was too inviting and I just had to get into it, the first puffs were of lots of black pepper punching the back of my throat and what a kick this bad boy had, my head was swimming from the nicotine buzz from this little cigar.
The first third was quite powerful with loads of pepper and mellowed out in the second third to a light white pepper and old leather ,and the nicotine had taken a back seat by this time.
The final third was better than most small cigars that I have smoked because the flavor was swapping between leather and white pepper and was so good that I smoked it down to the nub which was burning my lips so I had to put it down after 40 minutes ( damn )
Overall this was a fantastic cigar that I wanted to last for 2 hours, so later in the day I lit up a Noellas ( 5 1/8 x 42 ) which was just a bigger version of the #5 and lasted for 95 minutes ( Yes I did nurse this one ) and had the same pepper/ leather notes and nicotine kick that blew my socks off earlier in the day
The near perfect construction and flavor in these 2 cigars gave me what I have wanting in a cigar and cant wait to get more for when I need my butt kicked.
Thank you Greg for such a fantastic smoking experience and I cant wait to try the others that you sent me.
