This was my first Tatuaje.
I must say that I was not that impressed with it! Maybe I was expecting to much from all the hype I've read!
I picked up a sampler from Holts, that has the Cojonu 2003, Regio, Reserva SW, Taino, and Unicos. From your guys' experience, will any of the others be a step up from the one I had?

Thanks!!!

Funny- I had my first tatuaje, also a Regios, and my impression was 180 out from you- I rated it a must buy a box ASAP!

I thought the flavor was spot on... very, very enjoyable. The draw was perfect, and if there was any more smoke made by this sucker the neighbors would have called the fire dept (I'm on vacation!) I nubbed this sucker till I thought my moustache was gonna light off. Even the burn was flawless... in the sea air, with a good breeze it never waivered.

but we all like different stuff... and this means more for me(us)! Mine was sitting in my humi for at least 3 months, so maybe that helped?

great end to a great day of fishing...

This is important...all Tatuaje's get better with a little time in the humi. Except the Cojonu '03. This is my favortie and is very good out of the shop, IMO...with age, even better!!! Ths Unico is also one of my favorites. Give it another chance, David, and see where it takes your opinion.

I enjoy all the Tatuaje's. I first sampled the Noellas and Cojonu and
purchased a box of each. The Noellas, a Petite Corona are great. Starts
off with a mouth full of pepper and settles into a wonderful tasting cigar.

Later I was invited to join a box split by BrewMeister and got to sample
the other's in their line. Personally, I like the Reserva J21 the best but
they are all great and seldom disappoint.

Thanks guys!!!
I'm not giving up on these!
I might put some fire to the Cojonu '03 tonight and see what my thoughts are!!!

I bought a fiver of the Regios earlier this year as part of a group buy. I've smoked two of them and while they were both very good, I felt they needed some age before they truly became great. I'll have to pull one out this week and see how they are doing.

I smoked one of the Reserva J21 last night. The draw, smoke and the burn was very good. I found it a little lacking in flavor, didn't live up to the hype. I think after a little aging, this would have been much better, I only had it 2 days.
