I thought I'd take a break from chasing down anything new for a while as my stock and pocketbook needed a break, and here comes this email from Holts today.

Tatuaje HCS

I like ecuadorian sun grown wrappers, like the VSG, but normal ecuadorian wrappers do not really thrill me. Or at least the ones I have tried.

What's the verdict guys, would you take your chances on this box? Normally, I'd just click "buy" but I'm really trying not to.

Anyone know how this cigar smokes?

I don't know anything about them, but Pete seems to put out a new cigar every couple of days....pretty hard to keep up.

Tell you what - there are 20 in a box. Buy the box and I'll take five; I'm sure you won't have any trouble selling two more 5-ers. That way, if they suck, you didn't get stuck with a whole box, and if they rule, we'll all have to make a little more room in our humidors....

Looks like singles are available... why not just buy a couple singles and see if you like them before diving into the box? Granted they are about a buck more per stick if you buy singles... but could be worth a shot.

Since they are made in Pepin's factory, you can pretty much bank on them smoking well.

I haven't tried, or even heard, of those but . . . the Verocu Pete did just for Holt's came out great and is a favorite. Probably worth trying a few sticks.

I just placed the order for the #1 robusto larga size.

Note to the group; I found out my state does not get the "free" shipping through UPS ground as before. Only way I could make it work was to choose USPS priority. Sorry for the delay, but I don't like backing out of deals once the price is in the ballpark.

Initially, the only way to get free shipping was to pull the trigger on the whole box. I like to give smokes a couple of tries before scratching them off the list so I try to buy at least 5 of something.

Sorry bruddah Wootsite, by the time the first 4 guys expressed interest, I had already bought the order. The only crappy thing about this buy is I live the farthest from Holts in PA. UPS ground would get to your state waaay before the mail lady rings my bell, sometimes living in paradise has it downs
