I was recently gifted this from jfields to celebrate and let me tell you it was perfect.

I live in a windy area, and it was just too windy today to smoke outside, so I set up a nice area to smoke inside....if I am to cristen the new home with a cigar, this was it. Right off the first burn I knew it was going to be a different cigar. It had no harsh burn! After the first few puffs, I was thinking that I wish I had this to smoke every morning with a nice cup of coffee. The smoke was very smooth with a great aroma. It started (and remained) with a wonderful blend of cinnamon and woodsy taste. It did not have the normal spice of a tat.

A third of the way down, still no spice. There was no harshness to this cigar at all, it stuck with the earthy tones all through out. Just before the half way point I got a great wiff of coffee up my nose. I was worried, because after being shipped I noticed a dent mid way that gave the cigar a noticeable bend, but when I hit it, it still burnt straight and kept on going. With a hint of chocolate it was a pleasure to my palate.

Half way through I began to notice some spice. The cigar began to get a little stronger, but still again stayed smooth. Still getting closer to the end of the smoke, there was no harsh burn. I was shocked expecting some harsh taste. I smoked this one to as far as my fingers could handle and it never stopped! Other than burning my finger, this thing stayed smooth and tasty! No bad after taste. I could have kept going and I still can taste it in such a good way. After each draw there was no negative no matter how far I reached the end. One of the longest cigars in length I have smoked, I was very pleasantly surprised that after all the hype around this, that it lived up to the stories and demand.

Thanks again John for a great smoke. I can not wait to get my hands on a few more, let alone the Drac.

I'll have to keep these in mind as I haven't been a huge fan of the Tatuaje "spice". Will, at some point, try to find one of these.

Great review and wonderful pictures!

Sad to say I am down to my last two. The rest were just as perfect as what you described.

Thanks for the review. I have yet to try these but your review and pictures made me definitely want to. Looks like you're getting settled in nicely. Congrats again on the new home!

Nice review, I finally got my hands on a few of these and just waiting for the right time to fire one of these up. I'm glad that these cigars do not have their traditional Tatuaje spice, I need a change of pace.

You can attribute the slight 'bend' to the box press they put on the sticks in the coffin. All the sticks on the corners came out with indentions in the wrapper and with an ever so slight bend...

I've got one resting that I was fortunate enough to get in a blind trade of sorts... This review only makes me want to spark it more, but I think I will hold out until I acquire a second.

Thanks lurch!

Thanks for the great review. I've always wanted to get my hands on a Frank, or the Black, but no luck. Maybe I'll have better luck with the next "monster" release. I've smoked several Tat Regios and Reserva Noellas, and they have all been great smokes. I have some Tainos waiting for me in my humidor still, but just haven't found enough time to be able to attack them. I'm sure they will be great too...
