Had the chance to smoke a Tatuaje East while sitting by the fire with my boy and wanted to share my experience. I am still discovering many taste so bare with me, this is my first time reviewing a cigar on the board. Here is my MINI review.
First I cover the basics:
Draw gets a 10 out of 10. Full amounts of smoke while not chocking the air around me. Creamy and white.
Burn another 10 out of 10. Never once had to touch up the cigar it evenly and straight down to the tip.
Construction was a little flawed getting a 6 out of 10. On first fire of this bad boy I had a slight tear down the side about 1/2.
One the last third the wrapper began to come undone slightly. The wrapper flaws did not seem to effect the experience of
the cigar so no harm no fowl (spl).
Now to the good part, flavors. The first few puff showed almost all hot pepper and stayed on the palet for the first half inch of the smoke. This seemed to be the dominant flavor throught the cigar which is okay with me since I really enjoy pepper. As I continued I started getting subtle hints of powder chocolate and dark coffee with pepper fainlty pocking through never letting your forget its company. The coffee stayed on the palet for most part of the first third. About half way through the white and grey stipped ash falls to the ground while the cigar takes on a bit a waxy taste, at this point a little purging and a sip of pepsi bring back some good coffee flavors. This time around it seems to be a sweeter coffee with a hint of charred cedar. The last third of the cigar was great with all the flavors taking turns showing themselves, some new taste come into play faintly like dark tobacco and leather with hints of peppermint.
All in all a great smoke that I was able to read alot of different taste, I enjoyed from start to end!!! After the cigar was done a great tobacco aroma lingered in the yard. Many dimensions showed through with pepper leading the way.
Next, hopefully in a few hours will be the Tatuaje West. I am curious to see how it compares.
Thank You for reading my mini review, sorry no pictures.
