I smoked my first of the last release version I got from Mark (Tower Cigars) a few months back and I have to say it was quite a nice cigar...on the brink of a great cigar...for it's size. I smoked it after a Sunday brunch with a bunch of friends and grabbed it out of my travel humidor mostly because of it's size and my limited time to smoke. This was one of those times where you want to smoke a stogie, but a situation where I may not be able to really pay much attention to the flavor because of all the conversations going on with everyone. I lit this thing up and started the outdoor socializing routine while trying not to offend anyone with the smoke. About 4-5 puffs into this stick I kept saying to myself, "Holy shit, this is really good!"...over and over again. Finally I had to excuse myself and went for a walk to the end of a dock in the Marina we were near and finished it off. I was disappointed when it was done...and when I did the toothpick/roach clip deal to get a few more hits on it, I got a few funny looks!
The one thing I do remember was that it was not as strong as some others had mentioned previously, I thought it was well balanced, smooth, with a genuine aged tobacco taste...without that Tat bite I sometimes get. Maybe that's do to the time I let them rest at home. Very impressive.
Man did I choke in not buying a box of these, even at $9 per stick!
