I was just re-reading an article in the Dec. '04 issue of CA called "The corner cigar factory (pps 209-214) and was wondering if anybody has tried anything from Taino Cigars. I was just looking at the fat a** figuardos pictured and looked them up in the white pages.

I was hoping that someone might have tried these before and could give a little review of them before I try to order some.

I've heard about the store in NYC but have not made it there. Maybe the next time I head into the city I will make it a point to stop by and pick up some cigars.

Heres the link to the Taino website if your interested. Taino Cigars

I have never tried them, but has anyone ever tried The Little Cigar Factory Cigars? There are stores all over Long Island. I bought a torpedo maduro there for like $6. It really wasn't that bad for the price.

Did anyone ever hear of "The Little Cigar Factory"? It's a franchise all over long island. I went into one today and they had a guy rolling fresh cigars. The manufacturer, I think is T n J cigars but the stores are called The Little Cigar Factory. Anyway, they have a ton of cigars that looked very nice. All different wrappers and vitola's. I bought a box pressed pyramid in maduro and the guy threw in a natural corona. So I lit the corona at lunch time and the whole cigar was great from start to finish. The taste and draw where like the padrons I smoke everyday, without the aftertaste. I have the pyramid in the humi on standby. Now for the price. The guy said his most expensive cigar was $8 and change. I'll be trying a few more to see if they are consistant. Here's thier website for anyone interested. The Little Cigar Factory

Edit to say: Not double posting, just explaining detail from the post above.

I had the Taino figurado in a very light shade grown wrapper. It had a pretty loose draw, so don't cut it too deep. The flavor was sweet and very mild. Definately amorning cigar with a light cup of joe reading the paper. If the the price point is right, it would be worth having a handfull in the humi when you want light and flavorful.
