Well, I met with Atuck and Chewbacco in Newport Beach for the Toast Across America. Had a very good time with them, smoking and talking about cigars. I must say "Thank you very much." to those two guys for giving me little b-day presents (31st b-day on Sat). Got an Excaliber 1066 from Chewbacco and a very special Taboada rolled torpedo extra from Atuck. WOW!!! Thanks guys...I was only kidding about bringing me gifts, you know!! So, to another great event and good time meeting with fellow BOTL's.

(By the way...I going to win that humidor!!!!!!!! )

Yeah, it was really cool meeting fellow forum members...
Learned about some good cigars and about how much money-trouble cigars can get you into.

I brought my own cigar to smoke...and yes (as a typical newbie) I didn't finish it!
I'm gonna keep the TAA Opus and DCM for a special occasion.

As for how much atuck and fetterjohn smoked...never met cigar chainsmokers before!

What sucked though is that some dude bought all the Hemingway Maduros!
Can't believe it!
I guess I can't be that mad...I woulda bought them all too!

It was great shooting the sh!t with these guys!

Oh, BTW fetterjohn, you didn't win the humidor.
We stayed for the raffle...they decided to do it early.
But, I did win a box of Churchill size Cuesta-Rey Centro Fino SG's!!!

We need more Herfs in So Cal!!!

I had a great time herfing with these great guys! I took my smoking buddy, Tim, with me to enjoy the fun and meet some BOTLs. Good conversation and great smokes. I decided to have the Diamond Crown Maximus TAA cigar for starters, very tasty, and then followed it up with a Hemingway BTL, another fine smoke. On the ride back to Tims house I tried something new that I hadn't seen before, a Robaina Unico that wasn't a Cuban. It was OK, not bad at all. I almost broke it during a mishap on the way though. Some guy jogging on the side of the road decided to hack a loogie on my windshield as I drove by. So I turned around and got into a little scuffle with him, all the while holding my cigar. I made this ass take off his shirt and clean his loogie off of the windshield. On the way home from Tims house I decided to light up the Cuesta Rey Sun Grown Churchill that Chewbacco gave me out of his raffle winning box and am finishing it now. Thanks Chewie, it's a great smoke! Oh Ya, to make the night more interesting, 2 skunks decided to run right in front of my truck on the dark back road to my house making my truck smell so very nice now.

All in all, a very interesting evening! :D

fetterjohn,

you won something though...I think a shirt.

They should be calling you...or call them before they 'forget'.

Man, starting fights with random joggers and running over poor defenceless animals. I didn't know you were such a hard ass. Remind me not to get on your bad side. :0

Well, I didn't start the fight. I just went to tell him what an asshole he was and to tell him to clean it off my window and he punched me in my eye when I went to point at the window. I told him that my ex-wife can hit harder than he can and then I made him clean the window with his shirt. The skunks, That was an accident man!

Always a funny line to tell a guy to antagonize him. Good job Alan!

Oh yah...congradulations on winning the Cuesta Rey's, Chewey. That's an awesome smoke. :)

Alan's got my vote for CP's official Westcoast Hard Ass.

(I can say that from the comfort of my midwest home!)

All in all, that was prety cool for Alan to make the drive from the high desert to NB for the event. I keep hearing so many good things about the west coast guys makes me wish I didn't move away from Anahiem.

I am not such a hard ass. I didn't even hit the guy back! Just yelled a bit. I did tell him that he was damn lucky that I didn't break my cigar! Now how many "hard asses" would take a punch in the eye and not go off and beat on some dude? I am not a fighter by nature. Just don't threaten me or mine and we'll always be fine. Spit on a windshield is certainly a reason to cuss and yell but not a reason to beat someones ass. I think that this guy got scared when I raised my hand to point at my windshield and his fight or flight kicked in. I was a bit bigger than him! But what an asshole he must have felt like when he had to take off his shirt and clean the loogie of of the window. The little prick!

I was just giving you a hard time Alan. I thought the whole thing was funny. Not trying to jack the thread either.

I've been told that the TAA for Indianapolis is today. Getting ready to shower and go.

Did anybody take pictures? Post 'em if you got them for the NB TAA!
