Hey everybody.

I'm just curious: What are the best cigar store names you've ever heard of?

Are you opening a shop and looking for some help on a name? If so, here's my $.02

I think as long as you set yourself aside from those dirtbag cigarette stores (I mean that in a good way), then you'll be alright. There's nothing worse than being out of town, looking in the phonebook for a place to buy cigars, and when you go to one, its a cigarette store with a broken humidor with nothing but dried out Macanudos and a couple of flavored rockets.

I'm not sure how profitable a true cigar store and lounge could be, but advertising it properly would certainly help.

And, the best name I've NOT seen on a smoke shop.........."We sell at MSRP".

M. Gipson

Im sure this isnt unique, but it's my favorite cigar place in town, Little Havana Cigar Shop. It has a nice walk in humidor, a nice lounge area and friendly people.

Here's some that didn't catch on

Hocker's Locker
Flem Den
Chick Repellant Stick Shack
Joe's Cigar Shoppe and Kennels
Lewinski's Pre-Owned Cigar Emporium

A friend of mine and his cousin are opening a cigar store. I work in advertising and have a little experience in branding and marketing, esp. marketing communications.

I presented him with a bunch of what I thought were great names, but they seem to be leaning toward naming it either after the street it's located on (Limestone) or the town it's located in (Fayetteville).

I'm just trying to build a case for a more creative, image-invoking name.

Any serious replies regarding great names you've seen, in addition to features you feel a great cigar shop must have, would be greatly appreciated!

The internet has "Nice Ash" and "White Ash", but there's no "Hot Assssh" or "Great Assssh" at least that I've seen. Both of which could be very descriptive of the features.

Edited for quotation marks.

great ash or hot ash would be nice with a compliment of sexy ladies wearing thongs to man the store. :)

I always prefer a shop that has a place to sit and smoke, a nice comfy chair. Selling some good beer is also high on my list.
