Gentlemen,

As most of you know, we have a small group of guy's that meet every month at the Howard House in MD. We have alway's talked about setting up something bigger and better. There really is no "Cigar Fest" close to home. I would like to try to change that. A few of us are going to try something this year and would like to see if we can pull it off. Nothing extravagant, just 500 fellow herfers, a pig raost, music, and of course some cigars. The idea is to raise money to donate to Camp Takumata. In the future weeks I am in contact with Cigarette City and sales reps for various cigar companies. The Date is September 15, 2007. It doesn't leave me with a lot of time so if anybody that knows somebody who could help out, please PM me or e-mail me at smoke76@comcast.net.

This community seems like the best way to get the word out and I hope some of you will be able to attend.

I thank you in advance and hope to hear from you.

George

Sounds like a wonderful idea for a great cause. If I'm anywhere near the area when this goes off, I'll definitely attend.

In the future weeks I will be in contact with a few local tobacconists, sales reps for various cigar companies, and anybody that would loke to help out. Time frame is around the end of August. As some, if not all, of you know, with the help from Gary from Cigarette City and Cigarette City I am putting together a party that seems to get bigger every time I meet with Gary. Some of the origanal details have changed and we are hoping for a lot more people to show. I was thinking small at firet but after talking to Gary the cut off # will be 400 people. Here's the skinny:

- Date September 15, 2007
- Location Blue Diamond Amusments in New Castle DE
- 20 + premium cigars
- 15 + Cigar manufacturers On Site to answer any questions
- Pig roast with all the fixin's
- Free Beer
- Great Music
- CAO Flavour-ettes (with the help of gary we are trying to make this happen)
- Approx $8,000 worth of merchindise in the form of Silent Auction and Raffles
- Did I mention the 20+ cigars and Free Beer?

All proceeds with benifite a Summer camp in Vermont for kids with Lukemia. Gary has the info for the camp and as soon as I get the details I will update everyone.

Ticket prices will be in the $75 to $80 range. Before you cringe, what would this all cost you a la carte':

Dinner $20
20 cigars @ aveage $8 each $160
4 hours of drinking 8 beers (min)@ $4 each $32
4 Hours with fellow Herfers Priceless (LOL)

Anyhow, you do the math, I came up with $212. Thats 64% savings!
I don't know about you, but it looks like a deal to me. Tickets will be on sale soon. We are setting up a site to purchase them and they will be available through The store and myself. Pass the word around and let me know if you are interested. Age restictions will be 21 and over due to the alcohol.

George

Wow, that sounds awesome. My hat is off to you for taking the initiative to set this up. My fiance used to work at MAW, I met her at one of their events. Let me see how the calender looks, $80 for a ticket is a steal!

Gentlemen,

After talking to Gary of Cigarette City, DE I am able to post the beginings of the our growing list of vendors attending the event They are as follows:

Rocky Patel
CAO
Perdomo
Cigahs
Fuente Newman
Cusano
Miami Cigar
Drew Estate
Camacho
Padilla
Tabacalera Tropico

With more still jumping on board! I will have final ticket prices in about 2 weeks and will keep you updated. If anybody has any questions please e-mail me at smoke76@comcast.net or just send me a PM I also added a linky to my origanal post that will take you to the camp we are donating all the proceeds to.
