Hey Everyone,
I'm new to the whole cigar thing. I haven't yet been able to purchase a humidor, but have recieved a 3 cigar "special edition" Cohiba black gigante box. These have come in a box with each cigar in its own metal/cedar tube. I have them stored in a tupperware container with a small, damp paper towel with them still in the tubes. Is this an approved way to store them or is there any better way to do this. As I said I am new to everything and would appreciate any and all advise. Thanks,

Jeremy

You can get Bovida humi packs for cheap at your local shop. They will work for your tuperware.

or get beads http://heartfeltindustries.com/

If you hang around here long and you will be getting a humidor. Take my advice...buy bigger than you need!!!
TRUST ME!

Welcome to the fun

Sure...or buy a water pillow....or humi-pak/humi-pouch for short term storage. ( A few months.)

Make sure to use DISTILLED water(under $2 a gallon at a pharmacy or store).

Search around on here, you'll find a lot of information!

Nothing wrong with a wet paper towel, but even with distilled water you'll probably get mold growth over time. I would use 50:50 Water/Propylene Glycol if not purchasing something to humidify.

If you have a local B&M that gives them away go find a nice cigar box and use that. It took me a couple tries but I found one that is working perfectly as my humidor.
