Do you put soemthing in the box to keep it slightly open and to allow for some level of circulation?

I think it depends on the box. I have read that dress boxes you want to crack open slightly, and Cabs you leave as are for aging. But alot of this I think is up to you and finding out which result you like better. But the FOGs would be have a better answer on this.

Closed, unless you are trying to shorten the time to smoke them. Closed allows the aroma to stay in, providing for a much more flavorful cigar later on. Trust me on this one. Otherwise, if you have your hands on a box that you want to smoke daily, and they are too wet or a tad sick, probally not a bad idea to prop them open.

closed unless you have a display style of cabinet then open. Why have a show-off cabinet if you don't show off?
