Step 9

"I'm sorry. And now that I've said that, please get off your pathetic asses and get a life of your own. Thanks."

I'm not sure he can do or say anything to repair his image. I think over time some people will move back into his camp as long as he stays out of the headlines. I think there are a lot of people that are done with him and won't return to his side no matter what.

I think the golf fans will be there once he starts playing if he plays well. If he comes back and he's just another Tour player, he'll eventually fade into the background with the rest of them.

He will never regain his previous stature. That's gone.

I honestly do not even know why this is being covered in the media. What is considered news now versus what was considered news when I was a child has changed considerably. :(

American culture of the 21st Century is falling short of impressive.

Tiger's got some issues. Tiger's got some money, which has compounded his issues. Most everyone else is a hypocrite.

He will never regain his previous stature. That's gone.

A man's integrity is one of the few things he cannot have taken from him. He can only lose it by giving it away.

G-
He practically threw it from his being as though it was a burden.

It is unfortunate that this is news, but that's our culture now. It's debased and ridiculously crass. The mentality that causes people to celebrate the denigration of others in an effort to boost their esteem has invaded almost all aspects of our lives. It's sad, really.

"So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her."

I get woman being upset with him, but men? If I had his money and looks I'd be broke, addicted to coke and riddled with VD. He should just get a divorce and start bringing a RV to his tournaments with a "Please take a number" dispenser by the door with a "Must be this hot to ride the Tiger" picture of Brooklyn Decker on the other side of the door.

It's between him, his wife, and whatever his faith is.

Why anyone else gives s#!t is beyond me; frankly, I could care less what some spoiled rich sports guy does.

Doc isn't that old now... He was just the gopher, getting new chisels and stone tablets for the writer...

:sign:

With regard to the "news"... "these are issues between a husband and a wife".

Maybe he should continue to take his personal inventory and when he is wrong promptly admit it... :D

True in Tiger's case but it never ceases to amaze me how allegations can surface and damage a person's reputation beyond repair. Even if those allegations are proven false.

E.g. Brad and Angelina are divorcing! False. (not that I care) Granted, that's a trivial one but there was a local pediatrician here who was accused of wrongdoing, had to go to court, case was thrown out because the "victim" was put up to lying about it. Sad thing is the doctor never was able to work again. The media coverage essentially ruined his practice.

Our culture's fascination with celebrity is sick.

Ah, fer Christ's sakes I forget his name. Some young Jewish fella I think. He had these high and mighty ideas no one seems able to live up to.

It amazes me how many people don't get this.

Maybe in a perfect world but when you earn a living as a professional athlete/celebrity and screw up in such a monumental fashion you have pretty much signed your privacy over to El Diablo. It strikes me as strange that they all think they are above being scrutinized by the media and public when without both their income would drop exponentially.
