so one of the reasons this is my favorite time of the year is due in large part to the great state fair of texas. we usually go 3 or 4 times a year. the kids love the games, the wife loves the rides and of course i love the food. anyway, after our trip last night my small brain has been enamored with a game ive decided come hell or high water i will master. i even went as far as taking a photo of it with my camera, scanning it in my computer and using autocad to draw over the top of it to get all the dimensions and angles so i can build this stupid thing. yes, i said re-built it, and yes, i admit im a nerd. i think it all factors on the angle or the toss and the launch point of the ball. i wonder if anyone has ever played this game or even won it? i also wonder if im gonna get grilled for using valuable cp space for a topic involving a freakin' carnival game....

What's the object of the game? Hit the paddle so the ball drops in the box? We didn't have this at the York County fair or if it was there I didn't see it.

At least is isn't Cornhole....

I've never seen the game you posted about, but I tend to avoid the Fair (carnies...)

I assume you have to toss the wiffle-balls, bounce them off the sign, and have them land int eh basket to win?

Backspin would be the key I imagine...

We always have that game at our fair... Super Impossible... I have tried it a few times and failed miserably. GOOD LUCK!!!

yea, you just have to bounce it off the board into the basket. and you can lean in and literally get within inches of the board which makes me even more crazy. and as far as backspin, i thought that too. but after watching the carnies do it (and of course they make it look so easy), they actually put alot of front spin on it

Front spin makes sense....forces the ball down.

You could become a carnie and get all the practice you'd like!

Front spin and a decent amount of arch.

Ding ding ding we have a winner. I go every year. Used to be to show horses. In my old age, it's for the look-see and food. Have you tried the fried cheesecake? OMG to die for! However, I do avoid the carny area at all costs...cept for food.

im a sucker for fried food. fried marshmellows, twinkies, cookie dough, snickers. i tried the fried banana pudding last night....but my all time favorite, fried peanut butter and banana sandwich.

Got to love the state fair food. I could use a funnel cake myself. I don't go too crazy over the games. It's like you know you are going to lose before you begin!
