ST dupont lighters

Best lighter I ever had, but at a cost. I had an Extend, but since I lost it on a trip (thanks TS). I have not replaced it as of yet, simply due to the high cost involved in a new one, but still plan on doing that soon...

im not a big xtend fan(people love them) though the hemmingway series are calling me.

I got a line 2! I love it. If you can get away with lighting your cigars inside I would highly recomend it!

I have on old one (from the '80s) that was given to me as a gift many years ago. It's beautiful and reliable, but it's soft flame with no guard, so you won't be using it much in your car or while outside in the wind.

The fuel is a little pricy (the fuel comes in special canisters from ST Dupont) at between $4.50 - $6.00 per canister. I generally get a month between refuelings when I use it a lot.

I generally keep this sitting around the house, not in my pocket. It's nice when someone comes over to have a smoke and you can offer them something nice to light it with. Just part of the experience of kicking back with a nice smoke and a nice paired beverage.

If you're looking for an everyday lighter, though, I recommend something else.

They are definitely the tops in terms of quality but you definitely pay for it.

The "X-Tend" is the most affordable and is a great torch lighter!

If you want something more "high end" then the Line 2 is the way to go.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions about any of them.

I just have one question before i buy one.. there is a cigarette burner a cigar burner and a pipe burner. Obviously i want a cigar burner im just curious as to what the differences are.

One is for a cigarette, one is for a pipe and one is for a cigar. :whistling:

The one I have is an old Line 1 with a cigarette burner in it. What that means is that you have a smaller, Bic lighter, sized flame. I tend to use it for smaller smokes, or for touch ups on larger smokes. From my understanding the cigar burner produces two jets of large soft flame, and the pipe burner creates a 90 degree angled flame. I would say that a normal cigarette burner is fine for most indoor cigar applications, but if you can get a cigar burner, go for it.

The "Cigar" flame has two ports to allow fuel to come out as opposed to 1.

If you're looking for a specific model, shoot me a PM (I'll hook you up bro!)

thanks. I want to go to my local dealer to see which one (in person) i like.. Im pretty sure i like the gold and silver vertical lines.

I don’t know if Dupont dose it but I’ve seen cigar burners that are adjustable to 90 for pipes. I’ve used one before, damn fine lighter.

I have seen adapters for a regular butane can around anyone have experience with them.. They seem like a nice thing to have just in case i cant get a refill
