Thanks Robbie, you to. I have a whole bunch of PM's with questions about these so rather than explain it to everyone individually I'll do it here. We had alot of guys that thought the 08 was just o.k. for a Pepin and I agreed. So Pepin decided to completely redo this cigar. New wrapper, binder and filler. This cigar is totally different from the 08 and is way better. Pepin re-used the boxes from the 08 edition, the only way to tell the difference is that the 08-1/2 have 2 warranty seals and there are 3 boxes he had to replace that have no numbers. That said there are 10 left and I promise you will not disappointed with these.

Are they as good as the '07s?

Justin, yes but different. Ask Matt about them (mmburtch) he was the first to get some and he just got 2 more. They don't taste like anything I've ever had from Pepin. They are full bodied, spicy but more like cinnamon, nutmeg rather than pepper. Kind of barnyard as well, they most remind me of some of the Cuban farmrolls I've had.

I can't do much better than that. I think they're great, but don't know exactly why. The '08s were so so, and I sold my extra box simply because they didn't do it for me. I've hoarded my '07s and I will hoard thes '08 1/2s.
