A shout out to the So. Cal chapter of "Herf's R Us" (or anyone who may find themselves out this way).
I'd like to see how the interest is with a bunch of us getting together up here in Lancaster for a springtime herf. A good friend of mine owns a cigar friendly steakhouse up here and is willing to host us on a Friday or Saturday evening if we wish.
The restaurant has a patio area with round tables that will seat about 8-10 per table and each table has a fire pit (gas) in the center to provide for warmth and ambience. The food is excellent (best steakhouse in the AV) and we could probably get a cigar company to come on up as well. I know he has had Oliva and Ghurka here in the past.
Since night time temps right now are in the 20's to low 30's it would be best to do this sometime in late March or April to allow for a little milder temps.
Another thought is to do something in April on a Saturday where you can bring the spouse or sigot and spend the afternoon at the nearby Poppy Preserve (absolutely beautiful in April) and finish the day at the steakhouse.
Here is a glimpse of Antelope Valley in April
Anyways, let me know what you all think and if there is enough interest I'll get things in the works to make it happen!

Edited to actually add the photo this time
