So after being away from here for a while I decided to poke my head in and have a cigar for good old times. So after a brilliant idea to smoke a cigar in a snow storm I cracked open the humidor in search of the right stick. After a hard day of Culinary Academics I decided I needed something with a kick and what did I find, oh I happened to find my last La Riqueza #5 and knew it was the one for me. So I threw on a jacket (Raiders of course, what else would you wear in Denver?) punched the cigar and went for a ride in the elevator. I stepped outside and was bombarded by the snow and wind, I tried to find a mellow smoking spot in our 30 foot designated smoking area that is uncovered and exposed to the elements. Yeah you guessed it, I didn't find one, but the next best thing was a wall to lean against while I was being brutally beaten by the never ending waves of wet flaky white bliss. I decided what the hell I'm already down here and began toasting the end of this immaculate little stick. At first draw it was smooth and light with plenty of smoke, giving just the right amount of resistance. I puffed on it a few more times and the spice started to slowly settle on my tongue, after losing the feeling in my fingers I noticed I was about half way up the stick and I better start enjoying it before I can no longer taste it and frost bite starts to set in. So I slowly dragged on it, being bashed with spice and aroma that was unquestionably yummy. As I neared the band, I gently took it off (Took a minute I still can't feel my fingers) and decided I would go for broke as I took nice deep drags off of this tasty little treat. I got down to the nub with an amazingly smooth, woody finish that I wish would have come sooner. Great stick, 40 minutes, and I only lost a few fingers. Who could ask for any more?
