I like snow until it gets deep. Then it sucks!

BBQ anyone?

For scale reference, the chain link fence is three feet high.

Now to go and shovel snow off the roof.

Come spring! Come quickly!

 !

I'm sorry, I shouldn't laugh. Makes the 16 inches we got earlier this year look like a dusting!

And yet you live in ALASKA rather than FLORIDA... :0

Don't mind Bilder. I think he's still a cheechako. We'll toughen him up into a sourdough before too long. ;)

But man...if I waited to shovel the deck until it looked like that, I'd throw my back out for sure! Of course, Anchorage did get an "official" 11.2" of snow on Wednesday. Not quite that much in Peters Creek, though.

Good Luck weathering the storm Bilder, being in CO, we have gotten our share of the snow too...i hate deep snow!

Most of the pile on the deck was from the storm on Wednesday. We got a bit more than the official 11 inches. Bet Swissy has been busy with all the wrecks around town. Been some pretty nasty pile-ups.

Snow is money in these parts. Even though the ski resorts make snow, the flatlanders don't come to ski unless there's snow in their back yards. The snowmobiling industry has been hit the hardest, however. You can't make snow for the trails.

Doc.

Calling for a high of 71 tomorrow in NJ

Is it really necessary to shovel your roof? I do understand that snow is real heavy but everyone in Alaska cannot be shoveling off their roof can they?

I just got off the phone with my wife and we debated about whether to turn the AC back on....it's supposed to be in the 80's and raining on and off all weekend....

That snow sure looks purty!

Yikes.

We haven't had snow yet and it wouldn't break my heart if we don't have any at all this winter. Funny, when I lived up in New England, I loved the snow. But down here in a zone where you're not really in the hot or the cold regions of the coast, I just don't care for it.

Wilkey

Hey Bilder, it could be worse much worse. Just thank your lucky stars you don't live in Valdez I think they are up to like 14 feet now!!
