I would NEVER have considered smoking in the house let alone in the living room but............ My neighbor is a cigarette smoker and we occasionally smoke cigars. During football season we would watch games at his place and he insisted we smoke cigars in the house. I was hesitant but he assured me that "with a small fire going in the fireplace, we can smoke in the den, and there is never any smell"

I finally tried it at home Wednesday night in my living room sitting next to the fireplace and finished about 20 minutes before Theresa got home.....she didn't smell it at all. She normally mentions the stink in the house after I smoke in the garage!

Now I just have to go buy a nice leather chair to put next to the fireplace :D

Good deal. I wonder what your neighbors will say when you have smoke coming out of the chimney every time it rains during the summer? :D

Heh. I had the same thing when I was home over Christmas for R&R. Had enough friends over, and enough beverages flowing that I just lit up in the living room by the fire. Worked like a charm and the house smelled fine the next day. Good times.

Pretty sure I'm not allowed a repeat performance though..

Jeff - did you have a wood burning fire or gas? Wonder if that makes a difference?

~ t

My fire was gas, the neighbors was wood, I guess it just sucks the smoke out along with all the heat :D When she walked in the door, I asked if she smelled the cigar and she said no.

I have a gas fire place too. I'll have to try it...see if my wife notices...thanks for the tip!

Just remember what Zino Davidoff says............. "If your wife doesn't like the aroma of your cigar, change your wife."

Yeah - I know - but I already did that once and it cost me A LOT of $$$$!!!! Its cheaper-to-keep-er..... ;)

Hell! My wife encourages me to do it in the house, and half the time, I have to beat her off of my stick.

Now that's a good woman there.....does she allow you to keep smoking your cigar while all of this is going on?

No shit! That really worked? Now i need to buy a house with a fireplace!

Ballsy. Glad it worked. My wife would freak. Plus I'm too afraid of staining the ceiling or burning the carpet accidentally. Good thing I live in GA where the weather isn't a huge issue. If I ever need to smoke inside, I just ride up the rode to the cigar shop.

Thats not nice.... :p

Don't tell gpsjohn!

She does it all as long as it's not "beer swollen."

F.Y. All of you.
