Smoking Ban Losses...

Great list! When I hear people fighting for these smoking bans, I never seem to hear them gripe about the unemployment rate...
 
And they wonder where all the tax money has dried up at. :laugh:
 
going through the list i noticed one of the businesses is suing the city for 5 to 6 million dollars for their losses, maybe that's the only way to fight back? after fighting in court and paying all those lawyer fees, maybe the politicians will come around! ???
 
That's a great link. I wish I knew about that 6 months ago when those dummies were voting the smoking ban in here! Unfortunately when it was voted in here, it was done in the spirit of a smoke free workplace, so now you can't smoke at any place that has employees. So a cigar lounge that employs someone can't have smoking. None of the bars. If you run a business out of your home, and have anyone working for you, you can't smoke in your house!

The best part is this! The city is split in two by the MN River. One side is Mankato, Blue Earth County, the other side is North Mankato, Nicollet County. All that separates them is the river, and none of this ban has been voted forth in North Mankato, so all the Mankato bars will be losing their business because all you have to is drive an extra 500 feet over a bridge to smoke in bars.
