A BOTL sent me this in the bombing run, so I decided to smoke it  Good construction for the most part. A little on the soft side but no biggie. So I clip it and the draw was kinda loose like I half expected it to be. So I torch it and sat down for a couple more games of Sorry with my wife. While I was smoking it I had the pleasure of watch a nice lightning show frpm the storm rolling in of the ocean.

This one started of with a "dry" grassy flavor somewhat like some Cohiba's I have had. It gradually changed to a kinda nutty bean flavor. When I mean gradual, you couldn't tell where one flavor was stopping and the other begining which is definately a treat! It went out on me once for no apparent reason. Dunno why as I was smoking it a good pace. It did tunnel a little bit which corrected fine with a liberal dose of fire. The end was a little amonia flavor. I blew through the cigar which purged this flavor for about 5 minutes. When it came back I let it die on it's own.

This was a fairly mild Habana. I really enjoyed it despite it's youth. Even though it is kinda mild, I probably wouldn't recommend it to someone new to Habana's. There a lot of delicate flavors that some new smokers might not appreciate it.

Good review, and I will try to rember your advice on avoiding one of these for my first ISOM.

This was a fairly mild Habana.

LOL! All this means to me is Emo is smoking lots of Havanas now and his Mild/Medium/Strong internal scale has adjusted accordingly. :D

I find the SLR's to be medium and rich and they are one of my favorites.

Funny, but it sounds as if you were sitting down to your SLR, I was sitting down to my own as well. I watched some thunderheads and lightning clouds roll in too as I sat high atop my city-facing balcony here on South Beach (one faces ocean, the other faces Miami). It looks like the lightning was focused over south/sw Miami, but it still put on a hell of show for us on SoBe.

Anyway, my SLR was actually quite good. Although, I think what contributed to its overall enjoyment was the 3 drams of Sea Wynde Rum (I opted for this since it had been awhile since I'd had any, and just wanted a change of pace from my usual single-malt, or my Ron Z., El Dorado 15 or Ron M.) I had previously consumed, while working on my fourth. Quite a good mix. Although, from your experience, I get a slight sense that you couldn't have been playing a more appropriate game than one entitled "Sorry." ;)

I just got some of the '01's and haven't had a chance to have one yet. I still have some of an older box..98 that I enjoyed although I can't ever say I have been blown away by the Regios. Thanks for the review, now I know what to look froward to.
