Please check the list and make sure I didn't forget to include anyone. I'd also like to let others know we could slip in about 5 more, if anyone else is interested. Please PM me today or tomorrow - because once the list is fixed this is closed to any further participants. This list is not the pass order - I will determine that once I finalize the list. I will be selecting the order based upon location, mindful of trying to minimize shipping costs to each person involved.
As soon as we've been able to establish the final list, I will post up the contents of the package. I am aware that there are people in here who do not have huge stashes, or huge budgets - but I also want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to get something out of the pass they want to try. It always bummed me out early on when I got into a pass and found out later it was full of cigars I could buy at my local B&M. Half the fun of this pass is getting something new you've heard about, but not been able to find, and are anxious to try.
Okay - the rules are going to be VERY simple. After all - this is the "Simple Pass" (thanks Isaac). BTW, Isaac - the invitation is still open. I really do want you to participate in the pass if you are so inclined. This really was your brainchild, and most of the people signed up were looking towards you for guidance - it would really be a shame if you didn't want to participate.
First and foremost - everyone is required to have fun with this. This is not about trying to create a volatile situation with the other members in the pass. I ask that everyone please be respectful with each other. That starts with considerations of puts and takes. Eveything should be equal puts and takes - value for value. I'm going to put some harder to find cigars in there, so I can't really hold the crew to rarity for rarity, but I would please ask that you think of the next members getting this pass. I really don't want the last guy in the pass wishing he'd been the first, if you know what I mean...
When the pass gets to you - please do an inventory to make sure nothing is missing. If anything is broken or otherwise damaged - please let me know so we can fix it.
I would really like this pass to be flame free. I trust the members in this pass to make fair plays. And if you're not sure, please ask the other members of the pass what they think. You may want to consider thinking about what it is you want BEFORE the box gets to you so you can think about what you will trade out. If you don't want to post publically your proposed puts/takes for any reason, please PM me - I promise I won't bite... hard....
Also remember that this pass is also meant to boost your credibility. A lot of eyes are watching this. Please make sure you get this pass out in a timely manner. If you're going to be delayed in getting it out - for whatever reason - please make sure you communicate with the others. If you find yourself being unexpectantly called out of town - we can change the pass order a tad. I'll work with everyone as long as we maintain communication.
There will be a couple of final announcements once the pass is ready to go out the door (in other words - there will be surprises). I want to finalize my final list of cigars before I get ready to ship and then I will let you in on my final plans.
Anyone in the pass who has any comments, criticisms, questions, etc. - please feel free to discuss openly or PM me. I look at this process as a TEAM effort - each of you are part of the team that will either make the pass successful or a bust.
