I had my very first Siglo VI yesterday. This was from an SLB 10 LLK (or LMK, I have to check the box later. It's at the bottom of my coolerdor) ABR04. It has been resting only 10 days in my humi but I could not resist. I met up with my cigar buddies yesterday evening and could not find a better place to light this up than with them. All except one have had this cigar before.
The cigar was solid looking while exhibiting a beauty in its own right. The feel was strong yet supple. I took the pre-light draw and it was a little tight than I expected but no where near plugged. I figure it's because of the relatively larger ring gauge. The taste was already betraying the smoke. Rich cedar notes with a hint of honey???? (more on this later)
Lighting the foot was unremarkable but the first puff was a foretelling of what was in store! It was mellow. It was smooth. It was woody. It has hints of vanilla. The smoke was rich and plenty. There was a taste that I thought was honey. It was not sweet but reminded me of sweetnes. This flavor was subtle and I did not even noticed it until maybe after the first third. Over an hour and half of good company and complimented by this very good cigar. Burnt my finger to say the least!
It was memorable for me but there was something nagging me. That taste of sweetness but not sweet (I can assure you I was not smoking anything else.) This carried on until this morning. I happen to open a honey jar and I got a whiff of the aroma that was alluding me--it was the hint of clove!!! Case solved
This is the best ever for me. I know, I know the next best cigar may be your next smoke but I think I am safe to say this for now
