Sick on Acids

Hey gang, had a great weekend in Boston, went to see Blue Man Group Sat. night, and on our walk back to the hotel, my cousin asks me for an acid (blue) that I had brought. Earlier in the eve, we had an AF Curly Head dlx b4 dinner and really enjoyed it walking around the north end. Anyhow, after maybe the first inch, i felt a little queezy. my wife and cousins wife enjoyed the aroma, but i knew what was next. Needless to say the sidewalk is a little stained from my upheaval + Rocco Del'A Macci 1998 Chianti we drank. Got back to the hotel, went to my room, brushed the teeth and used some mouthwash, and had a tall glass of New Castle (on tap no less at the hotel) and the rest of the night went fine. Needless to say, I will save the 3 blondies i have for the wife, the rest are being donated to my cousin, who really enjoyed the smoke. I should have known... :whistling:

True - but I'd smoke just about anything else before I'd smoke a Curly Head - P.S.'s, S.B.'s, Helix's, Baccarat, on and on... Hell - CAO Flavors are a better choice!!!

Lee - what do you mean? They "Stink" as in smoke bad, or "stink" in they smell bad... They're great for lighting up in a bar around women - women dig the smell...

As far as smoking - I'd light a rope and smoke it before I would smoke an Acid.

B4 anyone else posts...I apologize for smoking an Acid! I am noob to the 10th degree!(or 100th degree) I do have a few PAM64's, just waiting till the weather breaks for those, so i can enjoy and not shiver! I have learned my lesson with the Acid incident! :blush:

Don't sweat it, Rob - to be honest, I started back on serious cigar smoking because someone gifted me a Kuba-Kuba. There is a draw to those cigars - but once you've tried others, you'll see why you don't want to smoke those any more. I haven't touched one in a long time - but momma won't smoke anything but the Blondie's. She doesn't even care for ISOM's (I gave her a Monte "A" and she said it was "okay" - BAAHHHHHHHH!!!) - go figure...

The PAM '64's are a VERY good start. Although afterwards you'll be spoiled - you definitely won't want to smoke the Acid's OR the Curly Heads again...

I almost bought one of these to try at my local shop the other day. After reading what you all have to say about them though I am kind of glad I didn't. I think I will trust your judgments on this one and stay away.

As one of the few Drew Estate guys here even I admit that Acids are on the out. Esp the ones with the sweetened tip - Yuk! However, a few (very few) of the naturals are decent and the La Vieja Habana Early Years line is a pretty decent cheap yard smoke. Ambrosia suffers the same problems as Acid.

Definitely start on some of the Anejo, Opus, PAM, WOAM, WOAN, Gurhka, Zino etc and you'll never go back.

Get in the newbie sampler trade if you haven't yet. The FOGs'll hook you right up.

I haven't smoked it yet, most likely won't get to it for a week or two, but I guess we'll see what happens! So is it bad that I also decided to try a Partagas No. 8 Maduro and a Punch Rare Corojo Pita?

Curly heads are okay - but certainly there are much better smokes out there... For example - a Partagas No. 8 Maduro and a Punch Rare Corojo Pita (Yummmm)!!!
