Hey everyone..this is my first post here..just bought a humidor that fits 100 cigars...a little starter set for myself..so im trying to season it and ive read that you can either use a shot glass..humidifier..those crystal or bead things...well i already have a humidifer that it came with and its in there now doing its thing but should I add a shot glass with distilled water to speed the process?...is the shot glass better then the humidifier in general or is either one good enough?..just wondering what the best option is here..thanks!

Welcome to CP AquaFudge. You might want to jump to the intro forum and do a proper introduction and tell us about yourself.

All the ways you have listed will work to season your humidor, it is a matter of how fast it is seasoned. If you use several methods at the same time it may decrease the time it takes to season it, but I question trying to season it too quickly . Try reading the article at this link: http://www.cigarpass.com/index.php/season-a-new-humidor.html. I also recommend using beads to maintain the proper RH.

Oh yeah, search is your friend and proper punctuation and capitalization is requested.

Some say it will ruin your humidor but I wiped mine down with distilled water using a sponge. It worked well for me. I tried the crystal stuff...didn't work so well. I'd stick with the heartfelt beads.http://heartfeltindustries.com/default.asp
