Setting up my coolidor now!

After a lot of reading on here and going back and forth between a desktop unit and a coolidor, I finally took everyone's advice and went the coolidor route. This is my first humidor of any type and I almost bought a Bally one from Famous Smoke. However, even though I have only been smoking a month or so, I already have a several boxes (Punch Rare Corojo, Partagas Black Label, AF Short Stories) , a couple of fivers and a trade sampler from Niko on the way!! As you can see, that 100 cigar Bally wouldn't be of much use.

I made a stop at Wally World and got a Coleman Xtreme 70 qt., hygrometer, bleach and baking soda . . . for only $44. I couldn't find the Oust fans that run on batteries. I also don't have any beads, but they have some Reel gel at the local tobacco shop that I may have to use until I can order some.

Right now she's setting full of water and bleach. About 5 I'll dump her and let air dry all day tomorrow. Hopefully, after a night and morning of baking soda, I can get her all set Saturday.

Will post pics when complete, but I wanted to say thanks to all of you for all the invaluable information on this board.

I think the Oust fans are out of production now. But you can still find them on ebay.

Good luck with the set up. I recently did the same and I use beads and I have 2 Oust fans going.

I got both the beads and Oust fans from Viper who is a CP'er and his website is - www.heartfeltindustries.com

Run a search for Heartfelt and you will see great insight and reviews. I have had nothing but fantastic dealings with Viper and his company.
