I received my free Altadis sampler yesterday. I only smoke a pipe a few times a year, and other than the "Fox & Hound" English-style blend, I'm not interested in any of what they sent. So the first poster to correctly answer the questions below will get a pouch of:
- Fox & Hound (minus a bowl's worth)
- Rum and Maple
- Almondine
- Irish Creme
The questions:
1. What is my favorite brand of pipe? (Remember this is a self-centered contest...folks who have traded with me have a definite advantage here)
2. Two of my favorite pipe tobaccos are no longer available, at least in the forms I used to buy them. One conjures up images of Serbian mountains, and the other got to be quite a "habit." What are they?
3. The first pipe smoker I ever knew was my grandfather. I fondly remember sniffing both pouches and tins of his everyday tobacco. The tins and pouches were black and white, with a sailing ship on them. What was his daily smoke?
One answer per post. You can answer more than once, as long as someone else posts between each of your answers.
I have no idea if this contest is worth anyone's while, but good luck!
