Securing a Coolerdor Base

I'm working on my first coolerdor and was thinking about how to secure the base. What have you all found to be the best way to secure a base to an "on end" coolerdor? I know that it doesn't have to take a direct hit from a tractor trailer but I'd like it to not fall apart or fall over. I can think of 3 options:
  1. Glue: Easy but might not be secure enough. I guess it depends on which glue you use.
  2. Screws: Very simple as long as you have the right length and threads to grab the plastic so it doesn't strip or pull out. Any recommendations on type to use?
  3. Bolts: Lining up and drilling holes could be a little tricker than other methods but I would guess this is the more durable and secure solution. Also, does drilling through cause too much air to leak causing humidity problems or god forbid not being waterproof if you keep your cooler in the basement and you happen to get a flood? Can you use some sort of caulk to seal the holes? What kind?
Thanks in advance for responses.

Secure the base? Do you want to stand it vertically?

Just some food for thought - one of the advantages of a coolerdor is simplicity :)

Yes to stand it on it's end vertically so it opens like a cabinet door. I'm going for something like this

True but the advantage of a hobby is to occupy your time :-)

Have you tried using those cheap doorstops.
Four should suffice. Screw them in upsidedown
with screws at each corner end.
I hope this might give you an idea.
