Not that I'm a fan of W. Virginia, but I am of the Big East. I hate to see Louisville beat up on the Mountaineers because unlike WV, I don't think Louisivlle can beat the big boys like OSU or Michigan. However, I'll definitely be rooting for them for the rest of the season. Now, we just need Rutgers to get their ugly Jersey asses out of the way to make sure the Big East represents in the title game. :)

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

I'm a Big Ten and SEC fan. The Michigan/Ohio State game this year might just as well be the National Championship game. :0 :p

The Big East is definitely a second rate football conference.
Rational thinking at it's best. Just ask Georgia how second rate the Big East is.

By the way, what would that make the ACC? A third rate football conference?

It is entirely plausible that the scUM vs. tOSU game could be a double header whoever wins, they very well could still be 1 and 2 after the game and play again for the National Championship. I would like to see UofL get to Arizona (more options for tickets) and get what they are asking for....WV or UofL have never seen offensive and defensive lines with the size and speed of tOSU or scUM. UofL is better suited to beat those teams though, they have a running and passing game. WVU only has a running game, their passing game was non existent during the game last night.

Oh Yeah and GO Bucks!

For those of us who support a year-end playoff, this year at least comes close. Ohio vs. Mich, then the winner plays someone else. No need for them to play each other again, IMHO.

Georgia is pretty much always over-hyped and yes, even a blind fly can find a pile of shit meaning that once in a great while you'll have an upset.

Thanks for reminding me about the ACC, yes they are a second rate football conference which makes the Big East a third rate conference. Thanks for pointing that out!

I guess I'll retract my earlier comment about rational thought or sensible logic for that matter. ;)

Please give me your "rational thought" or "sensible logic" to refute my statements. Go look at all SEC/Big East and Big Ten/Big East head to head games over the past ten years and get back to us okay? While you're at it, perform the same exercise with the ACC vs the SEC and the Big Ten.

The irrational thought that I was referring to is the fact that you made a comment that I found comical, especially because you didn't qualify it with anything. The thread began concentrating on what's happening now and not the past 10 years. Therefore, when you state that the ACC is a notch above the Big East, I as well as many others (including college football analysts) would disagree with you. In fact, it has been a topic on ESPN quite a bit this season.

The fact is that I am a Big East fan but I'm not blind or silly enough to think that the conference is as strong as the Big Ten or SEC. However, is is a conference that is gaining a lot of steam and coming along much faster and stronger than just about anyone would have thought after the ACC raid. I do find it fun to watch the ACC struggle the past two years and actually be a step behind the Big East (in my opinion) being that I am a loyal Big East supporter. I'm also realistic to know that the ACC struggles won't continue forever and it's only a matter of time before VTech, Miami and FSU rebound.

I'm also a Georgia fan, as I did some of my graduate studies there, so I also have great respect for the SEC and know very well how incredibly strong that conference is. That is one of the reasons why last year's W. Virgina win over Georgia was so big and important for a conference that is having to re-build itself. At any rate, that's my explanation although I'm sure you have your own.

By the way, I'm sorry about your internal server error - it happens to the best of us. :whistling:

Very good points, yes the Big East has three very good teams this year and now that you mention it, I would agree with you that the Big East is probably on par with the ACC. As far as the ACC being a "step behind" the Big East, I don't agree with that. Again, I think it's fair to say at this point, they are pretty even and yes, I've changed my mind from my previous statement because you made some pretty convincing points. Boston College really only got lucky last year and this year with their wins over Clemson (by one point in the final seconds  ). I think Clemson can handle any Big East team pretty much any day of the week and they're only in the middle of the pack in the ACC so I hope that qualifies as some evidence to support my claim. ;)

That Michigan game is going to be a good one though!

My money's on OSU. ;)

Bill some time it's only about luck, the best team doesn't win and shit always stinks. ;)
