Ok..So I was cruising the net smoking the Santa Clara 1830 Boleros that Wurm sent me. I decided to not risk this by putting it into my humidor. I tasted the cap to see if it was spicy and wasnt. It had an earthy taste to it. The cut went great. The cigar wasnt dried at all. Still decently humidified. Construction was nice. There was no cosmetic flaws to it whatsoever.
I warmed up the foot with the RP patel torch lighter I have and started to smoke this cigar. It lit real easy and havent needed to baby sit it either. Real nice burn...Ash is like I've seen off older cigars thats been in the humidor. Alot of speckles in it. The ash is also kinda white with a dark center. After a few puffs, this will sound strange but I had a taste of sour cream for like a second or two. That fled fast and hasnt been that way since.
Its a pretty mild smoke and light. Easy draw..Plenty of smoke. Reminds me of a Teamo cigar that I smoked and I enjoyed it. There is also an earthy taste to the draws. Over half of it smoked. Its not the greatest cigar in the world, but its not a dog rocket in my opinion either. I'd smoke it again and would give it a 6 out of 10. I nailed it for the fact it wasnt a complex, fuller body cigar. The burn, ash, draw, and all the other stuff was right on. One of the best smoking cigars I've had in a very long time. Too bad it doesnt have a flavor profile that I really enjoy. It went well with my Honduran Coffee. The last 1/3rd of the cigar is kicking up a notch. The last 2" it started to get a little spicy and warm.
Its like 6 1/2" x 42 gauge. Its Binder, wrapper, filler is mexican tobacco. It has 2 wrappers on it. I couldnt find any other info on it.
I'm just really thankful I got to try one and all. Thanks again Wurm.
