San Francisco Herf?

I will be in San Francisco on business from Thursday, November 8th through Sunday, November 11th. I will be staying at the Westin St. Francis. It looks like I will have both Friday and Saturday evenings free after 6:30 pm. I would really like to plan a "herf" for one or both of those nights. Anyone interested?

If you are not interested or cannot make it but know of a place we could do this or at the very least where I can go and have a cigar please let me know.

To answer your question: I lived in San Francisco for 10 years and attended 850 Cigar Bar’s grand opening. I miss that place. They played live music on some nights and always have a packed happy hour. They have two pool tables but the place is really nice. They also have an outdoor courtyard. If you go on a Fri or Sat night you will find it packed. Have fun and enjoy!

I was trying to get some people interested in meeting this weekend (Nov. 10th) somewhere in SF as I will be there over the weekend for business.

Not a lot of interest here as many people have other plans. However, in case things change or you are just now reading this it looks like I will be checking out the Occidental. Saturday hours are 7pm to 12 am and it is really close to my hotel. I will most likely be there around 7 or so.

If you or anyone you know are interested come on by - first round (drinks and cigars) is on me.

SF Sucks!

All do all day Friday and Saturday is attend lectures but the evenings are mine. So about 10pm Friday night I walk the six or eight blocks to the Occidental to have a drink and a smoke. Cripes! You would think it was free blowjob night they were so fugg'n packed. It did not help that the place is only about 20 feet deep by 10 feet wide. So with no place to even stand I decide to go back to the hotel. No problem though I can go Saturday night.

So it is Saturday night, and if you have not already figured it out I am at my laptop in my hitel room and not enjoying fine spirits and smoking a cigar. I again walk the six or eight blocks to the Occiental. They are supposed to open at seven so I arrive about 10 minutes after seven. There is a sign on the door that reads:

"The bar is sick. It should feel better by Monday"

I say bullshit! The owner is probably at the Cal USC game right now and I am stuck in the relatively smokeless city of San Francisco. Well I wish I could give a review of the Occidental and my cigars but alas I can not. Other than being really small the place looked noice.

I cannot wait until the drive back to Sacramento so I can enjoy my cigar in peace.
