Taking the family for a quick getaway this weekend. Hopefully the resort gives us a room with a balcony so I can enjoy a cigar or two. Any restaurants that still allow smoking indoors or have a nice smoking patio?

I've heard good things of Excalibur Cigar and Wine Lounge. If that is not conveniently close to where you will be staying, or if you are looking for a family environment (I took note you asked for cigar "friendly" restaurants/patios), then perhaps the Excalibur staff might help offer you some suggestions. Those who are immersed in the hobby often take note of where they can locally enjoy the hobby.

Is Temecula too out of your way for a herf?? Or how about Oceanside??

Let me know!

Thanks for the thought of a herf. Would love to smoke with the San Diego contingent, but I'm committed to a family weekend this trip so they'll be in tow all weekend.

Hate to say it but Excalibur has a $5 cut charge if you don't purchase something from their humi. If your doing some family action and want to get away there is Captain Hunt's in down town SD. It is not a lounge but you can sit out front and people watch. He has a decent selection in the humi as well. The weather has been pretty nice here lately so it seems fitting to sit outside and smoke. Forget about smoking in a park, it's against the law. But at least you can smoke in the center of a bunch of shops and restaurants! :sign:
