I had my first San Christobal last night. If I remeber right, this was sent to my by a fine Gentleman from CT. I nevr got it to burn even, but it wasn't horrible either. It was a a tight draw. The flavor was reminiscent of Partagas, but toned down on the pepper side. I would like to try a smaller gauged before I give the line a thumbs up. All in all, a decent cigar.

This is definitely NOT the best of the SC line :( The El Morros from '99, '00 & 01 are "inconsistent" and that's being kind :p . I haven't smoked any newer El Morros but they have to be better than the older ones. When I'm in the mood for larger cigars, I love the taste of the El Morros BUT the tight draw problems with these is aggravating :( I hope to get my hands on some '03 El Morros sometime soon.

I've also had a couple of boxes of La Fuerzas (very close to a robusto) that were a little on the tight side for me. These were also 2000 box codes as well.

The La Puntas are a popular size (Campanas, identical dimensions to a BBF) and the few of those I've tried seem to smoke pretty well.

I think the best in the line are the El Principes (Minuto, same size as Party Short, BCJ and RASCC) and my recommendation is to steer towards the '03 box codes on those ;)

Great advice CC...must have been reading my mind. Been thinking about the SCs for a while. Have not tried one, but now I know which one(s) to keep my eyes open for.

Just had my first SCdLH the other night and now I see the light! It was a delicious La Punta. I'm not generally a fan of this size but the blend worked very wellfor this vitola. I have an El Morro resting in my humi for when I actually have enough time to smoke it, but I think I'm going to have to try and get some El Principes in the meantime.
