Smoked this little minuto last night during our weekly mini-herf.
The cigar had a light tan wrapper, the color reminiscent of a Cohiba. There were no appreciable seams or veins. The pre-light nose was mild, primarily of wood and coffee. The pre-light draw was a little firm. This was an attractive small cigar.
The cigar lit easily and the draw immediately opened up some. In fact, for such a small cigar, the SCdH produced huge amounts of thick smoke. The cigar burned even throughout the smoking experience and stayed cool down to a nub. The ash was light gray and a little flakey. I thought the construction was excellent. Great smoking little cigar.
Most Cuban petite coronas and/or minutos (i.e., small cigars) that I have smoked have come out of the blocks fast, introducing an absolute explosion of flavor immediately after lighting. This cigar was different. There were light flavors of creamy coffee on the front, but it took about an inch for it to really develop. Once it did, some toasty flavors were introduced. Around the mid-point, there was a hint of nutmeg to go with the creamy coffee flavors. The finish was very mild, leaving little aftertaste. The cigar finished with the creamy coffee flavors and some hints of spice. It was a very smooth and elegant smoke.
While this cigar was not necessarily what I was expecting, it was a very good cigar. One of the creamiest ISOMs that I have ever smoked. Overall, I give this cigar a grade of A-.
