Alrighty folks, since I am already having people who are PM'ing me about this pass that I happened to mention :lookup:

Here's the rules:

1. Take a $5 cigar, you put back a $5 cigar or better.
2. Take a computer game, put one of equal value back in.
3. Cigars should be individually enclosed in baggies and numbered.
4. Games should be originals only - NO burned copies!
5. No Lars or flavored cigars please.
6. Games should include all documentation that you have - i.e. books, maps, etc.
7. This pass will be limited to 7-10 players.
8. I will not be doing first come first served on being on the pass. I perfer FOG's. Newbies are welcomed with references but FOG's may be placed on the "in the pass" list ahead of newbies.
9. Pass will start and be sent out next week (waiting on a couple of sticks to arrive to be part of the pass).
10. Have fun, play nice, and if you don;t know about a fair trade just ask. I won;t bite.

Ok, remembering that just because your the first "10" people to sign-up isn't a guarantee you will be the 10 in my pass, feel free tosign-up. I will announce those will take up slots in my pass at the end of the week and via personal PM. No offense to those I do not include on my pass and if you are not selected, I am open to doing one-off trading with you so that you have references in the future.

Some of the cigars I am looking to include in this pass:

Couple Opus X
Couple Ashton VSG's
COuple of ISOM's
Couple of Mid-Shelf Domestic's

Some of the games I will be starting the pass off with:

Unreal 2
Sim City 3000
The Sims House Party
AD&D Icewind Dale
Terminus

I will be starting the pass off with at least a dozen cigars and 10 games.

Now here is the fun part ;)

At the end of the pass, I am going to have all the people involved cast a vote on who they felt the most "valuable passer" was. This person will receive after I get the pass back the "seconds" on the games that I might already have or have duplicates of plus a couple of cigars. This means it might be one game - might be a dozen LOL. But it's a prize nevertheless. The only rule on voting will be that you can not vote on yourself (honor system) and in the case of a tied vote I will cast deciding vote or ask the others to.

I think thats about it for now. More later I am sure.

I'd love to join if you'll have me Sam but I understand and completely agree with your policy on FOG's vs. Newbies. This one looks like a ton of fun!
 
Couple more rules...

1. If you would like a game but don't have something in return you can "pay" $20 in MSRP cigars for it, to put in the pass for others to choose from. All I ask is that you don't take the last game or two that might be in the box.
2. Likewise if you have a cigar or two (no more than that though) and you honestly don't think you can cover it, you may place a game instead. However, I have to put my foot donw on that you can not do this with a rare cigar, like an Opus X. Cigar for Cigar in that case.
3. This pass is designed to allow gamers to pass along games as well as cigars, so please keep that in mind when you sign up. If your not a gamer, ask one of us what games we "like" or that is "hot" and go buy it at the discount store or Walmart and you can put it in the pass that way ;)

I have Where in the world is Carmen something or other... and a bunch of Atari 2600 games. Can I trade them for a Swisher or a Ram Rod? :D

BTW - What qualifies a person as a FOG? Just for future reference.. :) Is there a level between newbie and FOG like maybe FYG?

Understood about the precedence of FOG to FNG. Will be checking the thread.

Everyone probably defines that line differently bud. I know I don;t consider myself one of the FOG's but at the same time I am no longer a newbie - so using "my" definition which I know is different from everyone else's, longer in than me=FOG, less time than me=newbie (at least at this point in time with my involvement at CP).

One of the good things about running a small pass is that it fills up fast ;)

So here is the deal. I am giving until tomorrow noon Central time for anyone who has yet to sign up to do so. After noon tomorrow (Friday) I will announce the participants and request their mail addies so I can get all of that configured and planned for the rotation.

On Monday I will announce the order of rotation and also if I have these cigars I have planned coming in will announce the cigar and game list and will start sometime between Tuesday and Thursday of next week.


So if you haven't signed up, now is your chance because this time tomorrow will be too late. Thanks to everyone who has signed up already and will make my announcements and send out the PM's tomorrow.

Alrighty folks, the pass is ready to start. Here is our line-up and rotation for passers and the rules:

1. Joe M - New Mexico
2. pystek -– Utah
3. Lucas - Utah

6. Mike Devil Fan - Tennessee
7. SD Stack - North Carolina
8. Wascal – Virgina

Everyone got in but CCericola. CCericola, I tried to look up your profile to find out at least a little about you but it was completely blank and you haven't been active much since you joined. However, if your interested in doing a one off trade, let me know and we can work out something once this pass has left the ground.

This should be a quick turn around for a pass, which is good considering it is still summer. Just to remind everyone the "rules" of my pass.

1) If, you take a $10 cigar, you put back in a $10 cigar, not 5 $2 cigars.

2) If, you don't have what it takes to cover a cigar, you can put in a game or two - you can only do this for a cigar or two and it can not be for a rare cigar (like and Opus X, or a WOAM, or whatever).

3) If, you would like a game, but dontt have a game of comparable value or even a game to put in that you can spare, you can "buy" it by putting $20 MSRP worth of cigars in it's place. Please do not do this if for some reason there is only a game or two left in the box (doubt it will happen but just in case).

4) Aside from what has been said above, if you take a game out, put a game of relatively equal value back in.

5) Absolutely NO copies of games! All original game disks.

6) Please include any and all documentation for the game, guidebooks, handouts, etc. and boxes IF available. I know some games don;t come with much if any documentation and some are bouth "as-is" off of shelves and such without the benefit of even a box. That's all fine, just include what you can.

7) Have fun and enjoy yourselves.

8) Everyone at the end of the pass will have to vote on who they thought the MVP (Most Valuable Passer) was of this pass, without voting for themselves! The person with the most votes (ties will be broken by me or calling another vote) wins and will get the "seconds" of the games in the pass - that is those games, I might already have or have duplicates of (could be 1 game, could be all of them, could be none :0 ) plus a couple bonus cigars. Basically a little "thank you" prize if you will.

9) If, you have any doubts about your Takes/Puts whether for games or cigars please notify me.

10) Have fun and enjoy yourselves ;-)
