I will be on a work trip at the Outdoor Retailer Trade Show during those dates. If anyone is local and wants to smoke, or can give me some ideas of B&M's to visit, or places to smoke let me know.

Thanks!

Bill

The best B&M in the are with great prices is Jeanies Smoke Shop. They usually don't have anything to expensive but have a good selection and good prices. It is also right in downtown which is where I'm guessing you will be. As for places to smoke, beats me, used to be able to inside of Jeanies but not anymore. Send me a pm if you want some more info and possibly meet up to smoke.

There is a wine bar downtown where you can smoke (Ganache- I think?)

If you are staying in the south end of the city, the local Tinder Box on Winchester Ave. has bar-none the best selection in the state. Smokes are 35% above MSRP here with state taxes.

PM me as well if you are up for a smoke.

I will be staying at the Peery Hotel, two blocks from the convention center. Is this what they consider Downtown in SLC?

Bill-

Do check out Jeanies. I used to work for an SLC based company and visited there often. The owners are usually working there and very nice people. Dont be afraid to ask for anything. One year I was in town and walked out with a box of WOAM and Anejos.

As for smoking, I believe you can still smoke at the bar/lounge at Spencer's (steakhouse) at the Hilton Downtown. They have a humidor there also. Small, nice overpriced selection.

There is also a place called Havana Bros. This is a 'boom' shop that was opened by a rich kid in SLC.....over priced and an OK selection. Used to be able to smoke there but I donty think you can. Met some nice people who worked there.

Just remember interesting alcohol rules in SLC...Spencer's is considered a private club.

Have fun and enjoy.

I was told you have to "join" as a member to drink in the clubs in SLC. Is this for each bar/club?

It used to be someone could sponsor you for the day and you wouldn't have to pay...
Or you'd have to join for the day - think of it as a cover charge.

Yes Jeanies is by far the best place here. As for Havana Bros, it shut down last year so no more smoking there. Spencers I'm pretty sure is no smoking anymore but I could be wrong on this. I did go down and have a smoke at Jeanies the other day but they do not have a lounge or chairs or anything, you can just kinda hang out and smoke something. Again, let me know if you have any more questions and pm if me if you want to meet up for a smoke.

I will just miss you guys. I am going to Alta the 30th through the 2nd. I was checking out cigar shops in SLC and came across this thread on google. Its funny how the answer to my question leads me back to CP.

Carps hit me up before you get out here and we'll meet up for a smoke if i can...

My flight gets in at 4pm on wednesday and my buddies flight doesnt get in until 8pm or so. So, I have 4 hours to kill somewhere. I am not familiar at all with the surrounding area, but let me know if you have any ideas or if its easy to get to the city and back to the airport in the allotted time.

Yeah man this weeks kinda nuts cause I'm workin 50 hours up at the resort so I'll try and get some free time to have a smoke. Wednesday is for sure not going to work, I'm working all day long. I'll get back to ya though and pm you.

Ben

Sorry guys. Way to busy, and I caught a bad cold the night before I flew out. I was wiped out. Next time around though is in August. It should be nice that time a year, and we can hopefully hook up then.
