I picked up a 5 pack of these on cbid.
They are not bad.

Pre-light Aroma fair
Burn- slow burning cigar :D which I like a lot. A little streaky though.
Construction- very good
Flavor- was strong full bodied with a dark wood/leathery like taste.
Draw was alittle tight
Ash- gray alittle loose.
smoked it to almost the nub

All in all I would consider this an average to good premuim cigar. I would not turn one of these down yet I do not think I would pick up a box of them.

Thats my take, what is yours?

I smoked one of these on a long drive home yesterday, and it was nice and smooth. I don't remember what I paid for it, so I can't speak to the value.

However, I have been smoking the heck out of the belicoso of this brand. I get them for three bucks a a piece (in a five pack) at, believe it or not, Sam's club. It tastes much better than a three dollar cigar, and I smoke them when I am doing something distracting, like the lawn, or garage work or driving. They are one of my "everyday" cigars right now, which equates to about 2 a week (I don't smoke every day). Highly recommended. Just make sure to let them sit in your humi for a few weeks after you get them.

You make a good point about this cigar as an everyday cigar. I have 3 left I will let them sit a little longer before I smoke them.

I have really been enjoying some of the SLR double coronas lately. For the price these are really quite good. Need to pick up a few more heck I might even go with a box soon, havent let me down yet. Everyone is right about letting these age a little. After about 6-9 months they are a signifigantly better smoke much more enjoyable than a freshie of the same name and size. Just my couple of cents

These are pretty good smokes for the price. I have a box of the Torpedos in one of my coolers.

SLR's are awesome. great bang for the buck. the churchill was actually my first real cigar. i haven't had them in a good while so i'm going to take the advice of you guys to put some age on these sticks when i get some more. i've been plagued by all sorts of bad things after my first half of the cigar, but it's probably from being too wet. its going to be tough waiting those months.

As I was reading the posts, I was surprised that noone had mentioned the torpedos. Should have known that one of the resident "torpedo/belicoso whores" would pick that one out  . I really like the torpedo in this cigar. Great everyday smoke. Hmmmmmm, I think I have a couple left from a year or so ago. Might need to torch these soon.
